Both America and China are very large pieces of land, and as such build gigantic pieces of building. We are not accustomed to this in Europe, where 1000 kilometers can already be as large as a whole country.
Well, I guess the man riding his bike on it from end to end must feel quite, quite, quite like a lonesome dude lost in space-time.
